I'm set for June 7, unless I have another TIA. In that case, the replacement will be as soon as I can be gotten to St. Louis.

Looks like you are entering the final phase of the "waiting room". Now you can plan on your walk down the other side of the mountain. We will send prayers and good thoughts your way. Remember, we are here for you just like you've been for others.

May God Bless,

Danny

Are you still going with Dr. Stelzer in NYC or with Dr. K in St. Louis? -- I might be coming to NYC around the time of your surgery...

Sorry we are not going to have you with us at Fermilab -- I am sure we'll be talking and thinking about you a lot -- I fully intend to do this next year too, then we can swap our yearling stories...

Take care and keep relaxed -- Its definitely a good idea to keep close to your surgeon if there is any danger. All the best.

Burair,
I'm going to have Dr. K do the surgery. I didn't know what I would decide until I met him. I liked him right away, but more importantly, he indicated that the last TIA was much more significant than we had thought. I don't want to take a chance by flying to New York. He's increased my aspirin dosage and said to take it easy until the surgery date.

I will be admitted on the 6th so I can have another heart cath. We will talk that day about the valve selection. He said I can have my pick of a porcine, bovine, or tissue and if I really wanted the Ross, he would do it. However, I've all ready eliminated that from consideration.

You know Burair, you really should see more of the Midwest! St. Louis isn't that far from Batavia (closer than New York!) You should at least consider meeting us in Springfield to see the new Lincoln museum they've opened. Think about making a trip after I recuperate. :)

Mary,

Happy to hear you got your surgery date. Soon all the waiting will be behind you.

Sorry that you won't be at Fermilab. I was looking forward to meeting you. However, you are right, Batavia is too far from your comfort zone right now.

Take care and God bless.

Congrats.

Congrats.

Hi Mary.
Congratulations on getting everything lined up. You've heard enough stories of what to expect, so just enjoy the ride (like that's possible!). Having my date, surgeon, and hospital selected was one of the toughest parts. The rest really hasn't been that bad. You'll have lots of people thinking of you on 6/7/05.

You have us rooting for you...........

You have us rooting for you...........

We will be here rallying you on, sending lots of ((hugs)) and prayers. I only know Saint Louis by the golden arches. We pass through everytime we take the train to Ann Arbor, MI, and back again. I'll be sure to wave in July. :D
Hugs. Janet

Thats a sensible plan.

This is a good decision also, I think you have a great chance of getting a good result with the new generation tissue valves. Counting on Tobagotwo to give you a full run down as soon as he gets back...

I've been to St. Louis and to Springfield to see the preservation of the Lincoln home -- this was three years ago though and the museum wasnt fully built yet. We're planning to come out there this summer -- my grad. school friends are coming out to Fermilab sometime in the summer and we're planning to take a trip south to Springfield and possibly St. Louis ( I have an uncle who lives there too ) its a great drive along 66 -- very scenic -- looking forward to it. I'll let you know when this is happening and maybe we can swing by for a visit -- dont know if you want to have multiple physics people anywhere close by though -- Ammina is already dreading it I believe!

Glad you have your date all set and they're going to fix you up "nice and proper". We'll miss you at Fermi, but if truth be told, I was concerned for you traveling that distance. Take good care of yourself!

Mary, you've been in the waiting room sooooooooooooo long. It's time isn't it? You'll do well with the Good Lord and 1000 well wishers pulling for you.

Sky diving? Into a lake and you can swim to shore :D

PS. You will be my 25th anniversary present as well. No joke, Ross!

Hey Mary,
I am glad to hear you have a date set. I hope you have someone that will keep us posted until you are able to get back to the computer.
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
Take Care

Best Wishes, Mary!

Best Wishes, Mary!

Mary,

You are the kind soul who started the thread when my surgery was looming back in February. I appreciated that and was sustained by that very much.

Now, best wishes are coming back at you. I am confident you will do fine and be back here keeping us entertained and informed.

Cheers,

Bob
