If not, when he reads this he should know that he was in my thoughts today. I hope he's de-tubed and thinking himself the luckiest guy in the world to be awake. I vividly remember thinking that, even with the tube still in. I was thrilled to be past it. I want to think he's sharing that same feeling now.

Hello. I'm Eric's (Enetric's) Mom. He asked me to send you a post. Eric made it through the Surgery & is doing well, (thank God)!! As expected it was a tough day but as of last night the breathing tube was out and he was talking. We left him at about 10:00 last night holding on to his breathing pillow and clicking about four times an hour for his pain medicine. A wonderful male nurse was attending him and was with him all night. I called early this morning and they were going to be removing many of the tubes and cathetar and try to get him up. I'm sure he'll have plenty to share when he gets out. Many many thanks for helping our son through this. I've got to get back to the hospital so I'll update you again later.
