Alcohol sort of anesthetizes your brain, disinhibiting you. That's why it's so popular as a social and party drug.

Unfortunately, it can be difficult for some to drink no more than one or two drinks: That resolution can be lodged in the part of your brain that the one or two drinks just anesthetized.

mental note!!!

mental note!!!

Well i am deffinately putting a mental note into my brain! On my first attempt of drinking while on coumadin, NOT to rest beside a heat vent!! I could not and would not want to imagine how aweful that smelt!! I dont blame you for moving!!!!

As for my first night of having some drinks (while on coumadin) i think ill stick to either 2-3.. granted that will be a big change from the past.. But i want to see how i feel after those.

I just had my INR tested yesterday before i had my check-ups and my level was at 4.18 so its kinda high right now. But some good news is, my heart is slowly waking up. My pacemaker doctor did some tests yesterday and realized that my lower chamber of my heart is now up to 40beats. Which is much better than 0. So now if my pacer decides to give out on me, i will have some beats of my own, to help me until i can get to the ER.

That made my family much happier! I will be much happier when i have lets say anywhere from 70-100 beats!!! but for now, im counting my stars that i have my 40 back!

Diesel!! (after talking about drinks i think i might need/want one!!) :p :p :p

If you haven't had anything to drink in a while, 2 - 3 will put you "in the bag" and this is when the concern isn't your INR but falling and hitting your head. Proceed with caution!
