I see it hasn't been posted. AlanG went into hospital today in order to have surgery tomorrow.

He has arranged for an On-X but with a St Jude standing by just in case. His surgeon hasn't used On-X and the representative from On-X will be in the operating theatre observing.

I will speak to his sister tomorrow to find out how the operation has gone then will let you all know.

As he was so keen on comparing the heart with plumbing and is/was a plumber I made him the following card - if it uploads. :)

I love the card. I'll be waiting to hear how Alan's surgery goes. I'll never forget all the complex, long questions and comments he posted!!

Sue:
The card is a special one. I'm sure it will bring a big smile to Alan's face. Please give him our regards and kind wishes for an eaasy surgery and a quick recovery. I have missed him and his philosophical wanderings. It'll be nice to see him back here once he is healed.
Regards,
Blanche and Al

So sorry we missed putting Alan's surgery on the calendar, Sue- thanks for doing our job! Please give Alan our best wishes for a successful surgery and easy recovery. He's going to love that card!

Thank you Sue; cute card.

Alan - Hope all goes well for your surgery and I hope you get the On-X like you want. After the vent is removed, your next priority will be conning your nurse out of more ice chips. Don't overdo the ice chips though! Take care and please post again when you can.

Alan,
Best wishes for a successful surgery and an uncomplicated recovery. Hopefully the On-x will help with both.:)

Alan,

GOOD LUCK!

Thoughts/prayers coming your way for a SUCCESSFUL surgery :).
