Hi Ken,

I'm sure it can play with your mind and I'm sure some of his symptoms are definitely psychosomatic. I really think that he thinks he will die and that is why he has been putting off the surgery but if he continued to do this he is only going to get worse - he told me last week that he is moving at a snail's pace. I'm really worried and hope he will in fact have the surgery soon.

I hope he won't have to be on the beta blockers after surgery. I also hope that you can get off them all together at some point.

Thanks,
AJC62

Hi Brian,

I guess it is fairly common and you are right - everyone does handle things differently and he said to me a few months ago tht he feels that he needs to deal with this on his own even though he appreciated me offering help. Yes, each situation is different and I hope he wont' have to be on the beta blockers. I'm sure he just wants to get back to his normal self.

Thanks,
AJC62
