Good to see you around John & you're such an inspiration to so many that are facing heart surgery.

Having gone through all that you've been thru & now even enrolled in school & pursuing something new & hopefully, more fulfilling for you! You go guy! "The world is your oyster." :) And please stop by often; we're always around to listen & encourage you in your journey!

Take care! :)

Welcome John, Sounds like you have been through an incredible journey. Each day is a gift and a miracle that some of us are still around. I believe there is a purpose for everything that happens in our lives. It helps to post and vent and you've come to the right place to do so. I hope you get some answers to the bleeding problem you are having. Keep us posted. You will be in my prayers.

You have had your share and some of someone elses! I am so sorry you are going through all of this. I hope your doctor can help and get you straightened around. Prayers for you.

Hi John,
OK, so positive side -- You have been around for your family for two extra years. Semi-negative side -- You had to change careers. I am astounded that with all you have been through you have not become a total basket case. The crying thing, it's OK. My husband had by-pass surgery in 2004 and he ended up with that fleshy heart and he still cries sometimes when before he had the stiff upper lip. Take it one day at a time. Your doctors will figure this out. My mom had CHF and she lived until she was 78 years old. So just don't give up. Always remember that your glass is half full and God wants you here with your family for a reason. :)

Hi John ! You're fantastic, what a fighter and an inspiration ! I've nearly 5 weeks after open heart surgery and a new Aorrtic valve, all very life changing and upsetting stuff indeed so heartened to read about you and college, battling on and getting on !
"Oh yeah I still cry allot. Sometimes I take my wife to a chic flick so I can let loose."
I love that, you're a legend ! Might even try it myself, could be just what my very Bitish stiff upper lip needs needs !?
As for folk at church judging you, I dont know about. I've only ever been twice, once to a wedding and once as a boy at Easter because they were giving away chocolate eggs !
I believe more in Good than God but from reading just a couple of your posts have every faith you shouldn't worry what others think or dont think about your rate of recovery, it is what it is and you really deserve to get better and better so good luck.
Justin
