One appointment down and one to go. This one was just as I expected. No changes in meds or treatment. Next echo in 6 months. My venous draw INR was 3.87 and my home protime unit was 3.7 about an hour later. I'm right in range (my target range 3.0-4.0 and accepted range 2.5-4.5). All in all, it was a good appointment. I'm still in sinus rhythm and it seems I'm not in the toxic range for my flecainide either 
.
I'm hoping that the Cat scan Friday has the briefest of reports...."NORMAL" would be music to my ears. I probably won't know the results until some time next week though. Maybe it is scar tissue from the Swan Ganz catheter? The dermatologist who ordered it said he couldn't tell if it was a lymph node or an inflammed salivary gland or both. Either way, he said it needed to be checked because of: 1. The history of S.C. lip cancer and
2. History of radiation treatments when I was 14
3. This he didn't mention..... but I think there is some CYA
factor here as well.

CAT scan Friday usually means results the following Tuesday, unless your doctor is a real gem and gets it for you early. So, unless you say different, You'll be on my mental "watch list" at least until then.

I've only got a minute but I wanted to let you all know that I just got the results of my neck cat scan.......it is NEGATIVE ! Thank you for all your caring and prayers. And last night the tornado skipped right over our house! Over-all it has been a very good week.
