Quick question for you. I also had my valve replaced on 8/18/08 and I also have recovered very well. I am pretty much back to normal except for uncomfortable sneezes and its still uncomfortable to lay on my stomach.
I have also earned the nickname "click"
Anyway you stated you now have a home monitor. Did insurance cover that for u? I am trying to get my doctor to allow it but they still want to see me once a month.
