Hi everyone. I just thought I would give a report. I will be 6 weeks post op on Feb 19th. I just visited Dr. Ryan and he said he can hear no murmur and that my heart is already way smaller than before and it is back to normal size. It was a great report. He again told me he expects the repair to last 20 years or more. I am on a beta blocker and baby aspirin and thats it. I am scheduled to go back to work on March 10th and should be able to get a lot cardiac rehab in. Rehab is really pretty boring. At 25 I am the youngest person they have ever had in cardiac rehab at this hospital and I know that most of the program is made for a much older crowd. Exercising is so much fun now that I cant feel my heart trying to beat out of my chest!
