Six weeks post op. I feel great and stronger than before surgery.

Today, after cardio rehab, I used my chainsaw to cut down a dead tree.

My tissue valve which is a combination of pig and cow is working fine!

You gotta give modern medicine credit.

Thanks Honeybunny.
Catie, I started cardiac rehab last week, which was 5 weeks post op. For me, it is not much. They put me con a treadmill for 10 minutes, a peddle bike device for 10 minutes and a arm and peddle device for 10 minutes. Max heart rate was 107. When I was cutting down trees, my heart rate got up to 134.

Thanks. I'd been wondering how soon a person could start. Sounds like it starts out very gentle--I'm sure there are reasons for that. But it sounds like your real workout was with the tree!

Yes, but then don't you have to stay out of both bar-be-que AND hamburger joints?
... So you don't end up on the menu, or out of a sense of kinship with it?

Does anyone know what they do with our native valves, after they replace them?

On all longer time line all of your body will end up that way.
It's just tissue, so pulled teeth, fingernail clippings, hair, skin exfoliation...

I've had the same software nd OS running across 4 computers over the last 16 years, just transferred from computer to computer. Sometimes by hard disk move sometimes by Snapshot.
I often wonder if we'll ever do the same with consciousness
