5 weeks out

Hello everyone. I am now five weeks out from my OHS and still surprised by the recovery process! Beginning to feel like "myself" again, but still weepy and withdrawn at times. Got the ok to drive short distances and want to recommend to all those little fake sheepskin seatbelt huggies. What a difference it made across my sternum.

Beginning to have memories come back from "waking up" on the ventilator. And the joyful experience of having the nasal tube re-inserted while I was awake to empty my stomach of the coke an CCU nurse gave me, that I wasn't supposed to have! It caused me to bloat and swell until my sister said I looked pregnant.

Starting cardiac rehab Monday. Woo Hoo!
