I celebrated my 4th birthday today - since the valve replacement, that is. I went to the cardiologist a couple of weeks ago and things are looking great! Still no leaking, which apparently is almost unheard of. I'm one of the lucky ones, especially since my valve was replaced during the time that the &*#()&% silzone valves were being used. My INRs have been pretty stable lately and life is good. So, to those of you who are still on the other side of the mountain, take it from an old pro, life goes on, and can even be great!
