Celebrating 4 years anniversary. Heart function is back to normal. cardio is very happy; switched me to seeing once every two years.

Went with mechanical valve as I was 37 at the time of surgery. No issues with using warfarin. Very active. Plays tennis, golf, bikes 20+ miles a day in summer, coaches my 9 year old soccer team.

Good luck to all who are thinking about surgery.
