4 Year AVR anniversary

4 years since my tissue value was installed in Tokyo. Likely back to Canada late summer for an academic posting. Japan has been 8 week follow up appointments. I'm expecting Canada once every 6 months at best, especially in my home province where folks have issues getting a family doctor, let alone a specialist. On modest medications at this stage; 1.) Rabeprazole Na, 10mg (proton pump inhibitor), 2.) Carvedilol 2.5mg (anti-hypertensive), 3.) Crestor 5mg and 4.) Bayaspririn 100mg.

Congrats on #4 and all very best wishes....Sounds like you will be making a move back soon.
Followups for me were yearly unless a major changed was noted which pushed me into the 6 month followup category.
That's amazing you had 8 week followup appointments. I haven't heard of that unless related to your medications and possible adjustments. All best wishes to you...

Congratulations on your 4-year success story. Good luck with the Canadian health system. You might not need a specialist. Some people don't use cardios if their internist is sufficient.
