I have been resting since I got home on Tuesday. I try to get out of the chair once an hour and walk around a little bit. I've been sleeping in my big leather recliner for the past 2 nights. It's so comfortable to me, that I'm not going to push the bed for a while. My hospital does not give pillows anymore, but a "heart hugger. I'ts like a bra that you put on that has 2 handles that you squeeze together. Squeezing the handles gives support to your chest when you are moving around. I have not had to deal with any sneezing yet.(still looking forward to that) Putting on clothes and getting up and down has not been a problem even without the heart hugger thing.

Someone above ask about my surgery. I got my money's worth! Full chest crack with 10" scar.... and the 3 little slits where the chest tubes were. The center tube hole is still seeping slightly...hope that's normal.

I've only been home 2 days, but "normal" seems to be getting better every day

John, Glad to see you're home and on the REAL road to recovery. I'm sure we will all travel slightly different routes, but somehow we will all get from the OR back onto life. It sounds like you're doing fine, so keep it up.

I've been thwarted in my plans to walk outdoors - I got home Wednesday and the weather was too cold and nasty except for yesterday. Oh, well, make do with indoor exercise and keep going! Hope your recovery continues strongly and quickly.
