Back to occasional salad, oh well....

Back to occasional salad, oh well....

Tested again in a week and my inr was down to 3.5. I had only lowered my dose by 2 1/2 mg( take 75mg/wk).
I enjoyed my salads, both with my home grown tomatoes, yumm.I used red lettuce and romain as well. And that new parmesian ranch by Marie's. Now, for my salad, I slice my tomatoes and add ranch dressing to them or just plain is so good, they are very sweet, and wonderful.

Gina, I have always wondered about green olives, too.
I have really craved them since my surgery. I found some delicious ones recently that had a little hot to them and were so good. I love garlic stuffed ones, too.

Had to have a real arm poke for my cholesteral test, so hope it is okay. I don't like getting my blood drawn the 'old' way any more.
I have so much scar tissue, that even good techs have trouble finding a good vein to poke.

Okay, so I waited two weeks this time to take my INR, as per advice from ya'll. And it's 5.0! That'll teach me to wait. I think I'm going back to my once a week testing. And tonight I'll be having broccoli or spinach or a salad or something... Not complaining, but 5.0 is a bit much... I would have been just fine with 3.7 or somthing like that. :( Oh, well...

Hi Betty- Typically I'll grow either corn or soybeans, but my vegetable garden is usually devoted to tomatoes, spinach, and brocolli. I'm really not a farmer. We bought the place as a quail hunting preserve, but the quail survive on the residual grain from the crops so - I guess I'm a farmer. But I thought I retired ! Chris
