I am having my surgery aortic aneursym repair and new arotic valve Thurday early morning; I have quit smoking, and the closer to Thursday the less I want to eat. I am not in good physical shape but when I put my mind to it I can do anything. A great friend of my is making me a pillow case that say "I can do all things through Christ who strengths me" and I believe that with all my heart. As the time draws near I still have to pack and make my living will and, medical power of attorney. Is there anything special I need to take with me? Good luck to all and we will talk on the other side of the mountain.

We will be thinking of and praying for you on Thursday. I hope you are able to spend some great time with family and friends on the 4th.

You will find that most of the things you take with you to the hospital you will never use. However, if you are comforted by music, an ipod or the like with headphones will be good. Chapstick, normal toiletries and something to pin up your hair if it is long.

Keep up your faith and you will do fine. Can you get someone to post for you after surgery?
