I was just sitting here and realized it was 29 years ago today that I had my first heart surgery at Duke. It seemed so surreal to me at the time. I was there for about 3 weeks in total and actually snuck out of the hospital (pre-surgery obviously) with a couple of interns and went out to their car and drank beer. By the time I got back to my floor, my nurses were furious and had all of hospital security searching for me. Anyway, I had no idea I would be revisiting that wonderful experience 28 years later.

Ohhhh, you naughty girl you!!! LOL! :p :)

I can just see you out there partying while the hospital staff is scrambling to find you! :D (oh, to be so young again, huh???)

Congratulations on your 29th Valversary Kimmie & many more to you!!! :)

LOL...I can't even believe that I was stupid enough to do that. Those interns had to be complete idiots to do that with me. They are lucky they didn't get fired. The funny thing was, they were back in my room on rounds bright and early the next morning. I would die if one of my kids tried to pull something like that.
