Thanks for stopping in and giving an update! So many people disappear leaving us wondering about the outcome... Congrats and glad to hear you are on the upswing!

Yes, give it lots of time and effort. You should get progressively better, but it's really up to you. I JUST started to run again. I was a sub 3 hour marathon runner 25 years ago. I can't run 100 yards now, but I have 30 extra pounds (er, maybe 35) to work off before I will be back to my running machine weight. All I expect is that I will get progressively better and lose some weight. I bought some very cool running shoes, so I look sharp flopping along at least. Good luck to you. It's about time for you to get into cardiac rehab.

Hey Barron, I am so glad you posted up. I have to admit that if someone goes under and does not post back up within a week or so I start feeling pretty uneasy. Sounds like you are doing well, and starting rehabilitation. Damn glad to hear from you mate!!!!!!

i made it - surgery at st. joseph's hospital in atlanta. pig valve was inplanted in 1981 at NYHospital, Dr. Gay, Surgeon.

Carbomedic valve implanted 1997 in St Joseph's hospital, Dr. Douglas Murphy, surgeon. Am on coumadin, which is not much fun.

But, I feel pretty darn good most of the time, and I definitely can do way more exercise than I used to do with the pig valve. (i'm 55)
