Hello People, it is so nice to find so many people to share. I am a student 23 year old. I am doing my engineering. i was diagnosed with a BAV in 2009 and docs said i wouldnt need a surgery till my 40's but i have been an athlete playing a lot of basketball and volleyball. I have also been a weight room trainer. Not a beefed up body but yeah fit. I used to have spells of palpitations while getting super aggressive in my sports and weight room but i used to relax and it settled. Of-late the palpitations started running longer and i started of with panic attacks as well. Got it check with the doc and got to know i would need surgery in a year. i then went to one doc here in india (oops by the way i am from india) and he told me to go for the surgery soon as the leak is severe and the LV is a little dilated. i am planning to get it done once and for all as this is taking a toll on my education. what do you guys suggest. i am planning a mech valve and would be needing blood thinners. your suggestions and comments would be appreciated. Good health and a good heart to you amazing people. Thanks
Amy
