Danny

No Danny, you misunderstood. I did not say Tgirls, I said Women! I don't want to have anything to do with those trans types.

SEATTLE SEATTLE SEATTLE SEATTLE SEATTLE SEATTLE SEATTLE

Ok, I've been trying to get it in Seattle for like 4 years now...we're a cool city! All of us West coasters, come on, put in a vote for Seattle!

St. Louis!

St. Louis!

I voted for St. Louis and I hope that's where it's at. (I promise I won't have cat-related obligations around that date next year!)
My sister & I are flying to St. Louis 11/5 to visit her daughter & son-in-law that weekend. They have a full agenda for us and I'm sure can provide suggestions for a group event like vr.com.
When Holly & Ryan got married 2 years ago, they sent out brochures saying, "Meet Us in St. Louis," filled with suggestions for sight-seeing, restaurants, history tidbits, etc. Since I had offered to help with last-minute wedding details, I didn't have time for touristy things.
They had a block of rooms at several hotels & motels in St. Louis for wedding guests. My parents stayed at the Drury Inn in downtown St. Louis, right near the famous arch, and the rehearsal dinner was at a restaurant at the Drury. Food was very good. My parents & other guests who stayed at the Drury raved about the facilities there.

Marsha,
I live in Cape Girardeau, MO; it's about 90 miles south of St. Louis. The Drury chain of hotels was started, and still run, by the Drury brothers of Cape. The story of their success is truly amazing.
My daughter travels to St. Louis several times a month for her work, and she always stays at the Drury Riverfront. She has nothing but praise for the facility.
By the way, we ate at a terrific restaurant on "The Hill" when we were there a few days ago. It's Zia's, and it's located on the corner of Wilson and Edwards just a few blocks south of Interstate 44. There are many fine Italian restaurants located within the confines of the Hill. You might consider having dinner there during your stay.

Oh would love

Oh would love

to come to the UK! That is where both Wayne's and my ancestors are from - Wales, Jersey Island, etc. :)

Since the UK is a pipe dream, Atlanta would be wonderful - also a cruise from a SE US port sounds great. We have never been on a cruise - I hear they are decadent - everything in one spot - lots of good food, beautiful tropical scenery, lounging on the ship's deck, shopping, no driving anywhere...sounds like my kind of vacation - so that is what I voted for.

Boston is so special, but we were just there in June.

Will wait for the final tally - the majority rules!!

I've heard of Zia's.
My niece has our schedule jam-packed. Our flight gets in at 10 a.m. and we're heading to Plaza Frontenac (sp?) for shopping & lunch. I think my nephew-in-law's dad (a widower) & a lady friend are coming over for a cookout. Then we have a brunch on Sunday. Our flight home is about 5:30-6 p.m., I think. American Airlines has a special going on, so I got us both award tickets for only 15,000 miles each instead of the usual 25,000.

There are a lot of places in the Gulf & around Florida I'd like to go to in October, but duh, after this year's hurricane season, I won't plan a trip in the area from late August-late October. Too iffy.
