You have no idea how close I came to never entering the doors to the hospital that day. I had an extremely bad feeling about the surgery and all the delays in between. Lyn asked me to wait on the sidewalk while she parked the car. I told her no, I'd meet her in the presurgery area because if I didn't get out of the car and walk straight in the doors, it wasn't going to happen. That is no lie!

Hey Ross

We all love you but...........

Don't push your luck, maybe we will consider it if the guys do the same for the proposed VR calender

Love

Jan

Thanks for sharing Ross

Thanks for sharing Ross

Ross
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, that it was the 2 year anniversary of your last surgery and for sharing the ordeal/history via SuperDragon. As a more recent member of VR.com I find it is a challenge to read current postings, catch up on past postings and members individual history. Regardless of why I check in on VR.com there is always something to read that helps me deal with my feelings of the day. I value this forum, you Ross and all the others who bring compassion, humor, insight, knowledge, and experience to my life.
So glad you made it....

Hi Ross...

Trying to page through all of the posts I missed...sorry for the belated message.

Thinking back to your surgery and extended visit in the "slammer"
we are all sure glad you have been in better health since that time.
It was a scary moment in time. Keep up the good work. This place would not be the same without all of your dedication! Congratulations my friend.

PS...I will be certain to get my thong photo posted upon returning from the beach ;)

Wow, ross, has it been 2 years already???

HAPPY SECOND ANNIVERSARY ROSS!

I too remember two summers ago well. I know we were all checking in to see what was happening with you. You had your vr.com familyl very worried, to say nothing of your immediate family.

I know we are all so happy you made it and have been around to torment, tease and help make this wonderful forum informative, comforting and enjoyable. :D

Congratulations! Unfortunately I wouldn't look good in a thong! I'll leave that to Gina! :D

Ross-man,

Few things can shake us to the core like a brush with death can. Isn't that why we approach this surgery with such fear? There is that tiny voice in the back of our heads reminding us that this surgery may have a permanent outcome without a heartbeat? We have had Death steal away our beloved members (Englander, ChevyMan) before their time, and mourn their loss especially. All of us know it could have easily been one of us.

Death came knocking at your door and you held him off. We don't know how or why you held off for so long. But you did. And for that, we are grateful.

Remembering a brush with Death always deserves a pause. A deep breath to remember how close you came. A puzzled glance on why you survived, when others haven't. And finally, a moment of thanks and CELEBRATION that you are here.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, ROSS! May you continue to kick Death in the balls! :D

Sorry to hear about all you went through. It was good though, for us as vr.newcomers, to learn of your history. You've been through so much...and we're glad you're still here.
