Wow, time has flown by. Just wanted to update everyone who was so kind when I first got here months ago. I am now 2 months and a week out of surgery and besides the scar can't tell I had major open heart surgery. I really can't feel any pain regardless of what I do and other than being a bit out of shape from being sick for so long before, I feel incredible. I am so blessed to have had a speedy recovery and have felt pretty normal since 5 weeks post. I had a little back pain for a while with some chest pain from healing tissues/muscles, but that is all gone now. I have my formal post op review coming up soon but just wanted to let everyone know I am thankful for your prayers. Also, for those in the waiting room, it is really not as bad as it seems. For me I am glad I went tissue and even if technology wasn't any better 15 years from now, which of course it will be, I could do it again with less anxiety.

Thanks for the update. It sounds like you are doing really well. Congratulations! I'm sure you'll be an inspiration to those in the waiting room.

Such good news- Best wishes for continued good health and an excellent post-op review.

Good for you. :) It's amazing how fast our bodies can heal.:) I hope you continue to do so well.

Dear Tim, so glad to hear your doing well. I'm 6 weeks post-op today YEA! I think I have had a good and normal recovery and I feel better and stronger every single day. How much are you walking?? I can walk 1 mile with no problem and going to move it up to 2 miles soon. My chest still gets sore when I drive too much, and I still have to lay flat on back to sleep or it will hurt. I am back to doing most of what I did pre-surgery but at the same time trying not to push myself to hard, it take time for the body to completly heal. Hope all goes well. Debbie :)

Thanks...

Thanks for the post. Sounds like you are doing well. I'm 3 1/2 weeks post-op (Ross procedure) and doing very well, but also wondering when things will 'get back to normal'. Posts like these help with the anxiety and wondering. Hope things continue to go well for you!

Take care!
