It has been 18 years since my LV to PA (left ventricle to pulmonary artery) conduit was replaced (previous one became calcified/too small due to growth from childhood through teen years). My parents were told this one would last 12 to 15 years, however, it has surpassed this estimation and it is exactly 18 years old today. I am hoping to get a couple more years (or more, if possible) out of this (tissue valve) valved conduit before it too, requires replacement. Anyone out there with a valved conduit?
