YAHOO, ROSSMAN!!!!!! LOOKS LIKE WE'LL HAVE THE SAME MODERATOR FOR A BIT LONGER.....THANK GOODNESS!!!

WE LOVE YOU, BUDDY!!

EVELYN

Hi Ross-

The only details we ever have to know is you're still vertical. That's what I tell Joe all the time. All the rest is just a lot of mumbo-jumbo anyway.

Being alive is the only thing that counts. And you're sharp as a tack to boot!

So, good going!

Never. . .

Never. . .

Never really fooled us -- with the mind on THAT one, there's no doubt as to life status.

Seriously, Ross, let's hope and pray for a bunch more to watch the kids grow!

I still don't know the full score. He scheduled my echo for next Thursday. Probably won't know anything until after that. He said the valve "sounds" good, but my lungs are not moving very much air. Gee, like that's news or something! I could've stayed home and diagnosed that. I guess you all have to put up with me for at least another 6 months. :D

I almost forgot: I asked my Cardiologist about home testing and he gave me this silly look and said, "They can do that now?" and I told him about it anyway. They have a Coumadin Clinic at their office at the Hospital that uses fingerstick testing. Guess where I'll be going? I've had enough of these needles.

He has agreed with me to fill out the forms for home testing. Of course, I expect my insurance company to say no, but I'll never know until I try right? It's just nice to know that someone out there finally doesn't think that the machines are all that inaccurate!

Well glad to hear they didn't keep you and I hope you get your home unit too. I had my first INR today and they used a fingerstick. The only problem was the hour wait in the waiting room.

Betty

Hey Ross,
That is Good News and just wait until tomorrow. Hope the home testing thing works out for you.
Dave

Keep your fires small!

good news

good news

is the best news!!:D
I will keep my fingers and toes crossed for your home unit.
Remind them how much it cost them for you clinic draws in year
they might not give you any trouble.

Enjoy the rest of today!

You're alive? Congratulations. Me too. lol. But all kidding aside I'm glad you're ok. Let us know how the echo goes and good luck with the home testing machine. I'm still trying a year later.

Hey Rossman - I musta missed some posts along the way. In your typical understated way, I guess you're saying you got a favorable checkup. That's nice - don't know what we'd do without you to harrass us from time to time. As for the home testing. Hope they decide to bless you with one. Maybe you won't be so d___ grouchy all the time. No, really, they are nice and they give a feeling of comfort just being there. I haven't had to deal with a grouchy nurse for several months now and we all know grouchy nurses tend to produce pain. Not to mention sitting in those waiting rooms with all of those germs floating around. Heck, if you get home testing, you might even become a nice guy for a change. -- Your buddy

Glad to hear you're still among us, Ross! :D

My clinic does the fingerstick checking as well - I think you'll find that the tests become much more tolerable, logistics issues aside.

Wonder where you had been all day

Wonder where you had been all day

Thought you were mad at me:mad: Miss those early bird chats. But of course, VR was down at 6 a.m. this morning:eek:   I ask for echos before appointments. They gave me one at 6 months but not at 1 year...:) If we can do anything to help with you getting a Protime..just ask. We will bombbard you with E-mail to give your insurer. Foreveryone looking at this post. Remember, tomorrow is Ross's 1 year Ann. of his surgery. Let's see if we can break the record on good wishes for him. I will start one early:D :D Bonnie
