1 Year after AVR and Aneurysm Repair (Bentall)

My wife is having outpatient surgery today at Vanderbilt, and it was coincidentally on my 1-year anniversary of successful aortic valve replacement and aneurysm repair here.

In the same surgery prep area this morning, just 2 beds over, I could hear them prepping a man for open heart surgery and I heard them talking about a valve replacement. On my 1 yr anniversary, I saw that as a God thing, so I walked over, poked my head in unannounced and encouraged him and his wife with my story. Again, I see this as a total God opportunity.

Please pray for “Roger” who is in surgery likely as we speak.

You were at the right place at the right time when Roger and his wife needed it the most, heading into the OR. I'm sure they appreciated it a lot. Our prayers for Roger's very successful surgery and smooth recovery thereafter.
