She was searching online and found this gathering...and decided to join us to ask some questions. I think we did a pretty good job of giving her some tips and pointers and directing her in the right direction. Sure hope we helped her out. I haven't heard from her since, though.)

Yeah, I'm still here -- a bit grumpy about having my plans messed up, but all is fine.

I was expecting to see all of you last weekend, but then we looked at my wife's travel schedule for work and realized that there were just a ton of things we had to get done before she could go out of town this week. Over the next two months, she has six weeks of out of town assignments! Yuk! Not for me anymore. I will take a couple of long weekends to go visit her in such unlikely garden spots as Kansas City and Omaha, but she will be working and I will be goofing off. Such is life.

Looks like I missed a nice day and a lot of great people. Hopefully I'll make the next one. . .

We sure missed you! But, life does get in the way at times.


Heh...a funny thing of the day was that Marilyn and her husband and son (Marilyn being the one from CALIFORNIA!) arrived before I did...and we were there together for about an hour before the others started arriving. At one point, we commented how ironic it was that the one from California made it to the CHICAGOLAND gathering...and ones from Chicagoland didn't/hadn't yet at that point...heh.

Great pictures and looks like everyone enjoyed themselves. I love the windmill...what's the story behind it??

Hi All,

This is first post on a message board ever. I want to thank all of you at the reunion for being so helpful and nice. You've all been through alot. As I told Cort, learning that there are cardiologists who specialize in Congenital Defects was a real eye opener. It changed my direction in searching for a doctor. I'm going to call Dr. Marla Mendelson for a 2nd opinion but after doing so much research I feel kind of paralyzed in what direction to go. Therefore, I'll take my dog to the dog park right now. That always seems to clear my mind.

Golf outing during the day; dinner and activities in the evening.

Since I'm not a golfer, I drive down mid-late afternoon for the dinner and evening events, including a video that Cathy produces and shares with everyone.


I plan to take my camera...so, if I get some good pictures, I'll be sure to post 'em.....

The attendance was down this year because of the rain and flooding. I almost didn't make it, but I literally plowed through in some cases.... Maybe I DO need to buy a car I hate . he he
