    I'm "Only" 39, It's "Only" 4.5cm

I suspect that they saw something in pre-op testing the week of the surgery, they moved my surgery up a day....I did not ask why..I did not want to ...I sort of knew...I sewed up all loose ends in my life and went into surgery peacfully....it was out of my hands and in Gods....:) After the...

    I'm "Only" 39, It's "Only" 4.5cm

I found out about mine by accident on 6/9/09. 5cm, on 7/30 had surgery. Do not know how long it was there, nothing to compare it to. The stress and anxiety of knowing it could blow at anytime was the key to my decision. When they went in they found it was dissecting.... Life is stressful...

    My surgery date is set!

Don't be scared of the bypass machine, I was so frightened of it also. Once they roll you in you are already on some kind of twilight drug....when you wake up the tubes will be in your throat, no suger coating it, you will be a little loopy/sleepy. Just relax, go with the flow, they will...

    Insurance Exclusion

Insurance companies cover their own "a__", and will deny coverage, at the same time try cover yours. I have no idea what an echo costs, but I've had 4 in the past 4 months! I know you do not anticipate problems, but one never knows. While you decide to stay with the policy, still shop around...

    This swollen abdomen!

I hope you called the doctor by now, it can be a number of things as stated by others. I was swollen with 27 liters of water in the hospital, and most of it was gone when I was released. I was on lasix for 1 month at home for the remaining. The rest decided to stay on as pericarditis....call the...

    Insurance Exclusion

I am in insurance (not medical) but an exclusion is an exclusion. It is what you stated. If they will not cover any treatment for a pre-existing condition, why bother. Find another carrier.

Recovery had an unforseen drawback.(for me).

Thanks Marguerite, aka Mama Bear...lol I've re-checked all of my calls and most were to the office, so I may have something there. It was bothering me at that moment, and writing here is like complaining to friends, a sounding off board for a moments frustation. I've done more than my fair...

Laura, Glad you are in better spirits and your heart is boring, and you are not on that drug anymore. Hope your tests come ok as well. Tomorrow is my day to see they cardio..I feel slightly better, but I know it's the Percocet masking the pain... Glad you are ok.... Linda

Marguerite, please don't fume for me :).....I tried as hard as I could, believe me, using all the heirarchy to complain to, no go . However this is NYC, this stuff happens all the time, I am nothing to them, they could care less. I and other senior management have fought with them before on a...
