Mary I am truly sorry to hear about your friend. I am sure it was a shock! I think perhaps more Dr's should put it to their patients in terms of a "terminal illness". That's really exactly what it is, if you refuse this life giving surgery!

Yes, I am told pretty much the same. You can have a murmur AFTER surgery. Evidently this is normal, not to worry!

No matter what else I may take, Motrin, advil, ect, I always take my 81mg aspirin daily.

I can tell you that my husband, and I both had the flu vaccine. We experienced no symptoms, and no fever. Hope hubby's feeling better soon!
