    CT Scans.

Thank you Paleowoman. Both you and pellicle said that the effects of the nitro should have been gone on the same day, so it must be because of something else. I will check it out if it persists.

    CT Scans.

Hi Pellicle. Thank you. My headache started almost instantly after the radiologist administered the spray under my tongue. It was intense. Now, on a daily basis, I have a headache when I wake up, and I go to bed with one; It is all over the top of my head. It feels like a migraine as I keep...

    CT Scans.

Thank you, Paleowoman. I am not sure whether this is related to the nitroglycerin spray or not, but my headache has not subsided. I have been taking pain relief since my appointment. It goes away after an hour or so of taking pain relief, and then it comes back. Also, my stomach is not happy...

    CT Scans.

I like that haha. That’s exactly how it feels, without the musical pink t-shirt :) I got some panadols and hopefully it goes away. I asked how much radiation does the machine gives you, the doctor told me that their particular machine only gives 2msv as it’s an advanced Siemens one. Hopefully...

    CT Scans.

Finished. I did not like that. They sprayed something under my tongue to “widen the veins” now my head is going to explode. The contrast was indeed warm and made me slightly anxious, but that was ok. My head is killing! I tried asking for measurements, but nope, they won’t give me anything :)

    CT Scans.

This is funny pellicle. I’m smiling at my phone with a massive injection coming out from my arm. People in waiting area must think I’m mad. I don’t know what is this injection for, the nurse said it’s water, but on it it says ‘zout’ which means salt. Why would they put salt in me? Haha. May as...

    CT Scans.

Thank you all. Epstns, I have my beta blocker with me to take after, unless they give the doses that they will give me, as Paleowoman said, will be suffiicient. My appointment is at 11:00am. It says that my CT scan is with Contrast, I don't quite remember if I ever had this, but does it give...

I don't like Cider either... :) Its as you said, too sweet. I agree with you. For my CT Scan with contrast tomorrow, it said that I cannot take my beta blocker. Is that normal? Is there anything else I need to do, for example, can I eat breakfast?

    CT Scans.

Hey, I lived in Somerset England, the home of cider, for the last 15 years of my life... http://www.sheppyscider.com but I also prefer red wine. I just placed a nice order of red wine, Pauillac by Lynch Bages, Navarra, Tarantino from Puglia... I am sure you will find something you can...

pellicle My question to you is, if it is beer, would you really give it up ? Maybe you can drink cider instead ?

    CT Scans.

Pellicle, as always, very informative, factual, and knows how to clear my anxieties/concerns. Thank you, so much for this information. I simply did not think about it like how it is described above, in that being on an airplane flight will expose you to the same amount of radiation, as in a CT...

    CT Scans.

Hello everyone again. So I had my first appointment in Holland last week, and the doctor performed an ECG, blood pressure and and echo. It seems that my aorta is on the 47mm range, so my cardiologist has now ordered a CT scan with contrast to check it all out, and then decide the treatment plan...

Shouting &aorta dilation and an update.

Thank you, Epstns. I am Maltese, so I am used to shouting and yelling! I am also volatile, but also very calm at the same time. You're not Pisces by any chance are you? :) I will try and be conscious when I shout going forward. I will also post an update shortly. Thanks all.

Shouting &aorta dilation and an update.

Very funny videos! I am confused :) CLDLHD - I understand, but also that the feeling in my chest that I need to kick something can be quite as intense as when I shout! P.S. I don't go around shouting at everything! I just have some moments when there is a reason to do so (I know that there...

Shouting &aorta dilation and an update.

Hi, all. I'm sorry for my late reply. I was reading your comments, but did not had a moment to sit down and reply to you. First of all, thank you so much. I am Maltese, and we are used to shouting! I don't like it, and I wish I'm much calmer, but I have bursts of these shouts every now and...

Shouting &aorta dilation and an update.

Dear everyone, it has been a long time since I posted last. I have now moved to the Netherlands, and I'm still getting used to the culture and the system of healthcare here. Not sure I will stay for long, and may well return to the UK after a year. :) But anyhow. I last checked my lovely aorta...

    Upcoming annual.

That's impressive, and reassuring. I'm glad Agian and Clickityclack raised this. I did not know that aneurysm can stop. My cardiologist said that the more I grow old, the more this will dilate, and hence why surgery is inevitable. I mean the chances of me having surgery are probably 70-80%...

    Upcoming annual.

That was a nice tree! :) Brilliant video. Its difficult here in the UK to get second opinions, without having to go to a GP, get a referral, etc. I'm trying to get the images to the surgeon in Holland, so I'll get his opinion instead.

    Upcoming annual.

Amazing photos, Pellicle! Valdab, your situation is definitely similar to mine! It's exactly what I think as well, why rush into surgery when everything has remained stable? do you take any medication and are you on yearly follow-ups ? Maybe we should get in touch before I move abroad, perhaps...
