    good on you Ged know exactly what you are going through its hard but we know it has to be done before damage is permanent, when i saw my surgeon back a few mnths ago and we discussed timing he said 3 -4 months would not make a great deal of difference in my case hope its the same for you

    my cath showed my pulmonary pressure as normal the echo had shown it to be high .but they still recommend surgery before any damage is done but are not rushing now so it did give me breathing space while the roller coaster slows for a while!

    i was just like you scared stiff of the cath ,i had left /right cath through the groin and it was absolutely nothing to worry about it ,i had no sedation only local around the incision area laid flat after for a number of hours then went home had quite a bruise down my leg but all healed well...

    i to have asthma with no wheezing ,you should be getting relief from the inhaler i have salbutamol which works but not always first time ! sometimes need a second session after a couple of mins after the first but thats usully when exercising or a bad cold (man Flu)
