    Packing

Valerie, Sounds like you are ready. I recommend making sure you have a firm stuffed animal to hug for coughs or sneezes. My wife brought me Winnie the Poo until I received a heart bear. Otherwise I think you have things in order. We will all be thinking of you.

    Superman?

Glad your home and recovering. Keep the folks with colds/flu out of your range.I can not imagine what it would be like to have the flu on top of surgery. :)

Hi Sheila, Prior to my MVR I was having eye issues such as double vision and distorted vision. Surgery cleared up all the issues. Best of luck to you.:)

    Last meal?

I recommend you eat light the night before and make sure you take Dulcox after surgery. I did not and boy was I sorry!

    Which valve is which?

My surgeon told me that there was only a 10% chance of a repair. Once he did the TEE he decided to use the DaVinci robot and do a repair which worked. In my case I had an extra chordea that was used to replace the bad one. I pray the repair lasts a long time.

We certainly claim you as family Cooker. I for one read more than I post and I always notice when someone seems to vanish. They are missed and I wonder what happened? It is hard to explain how much this site means to me. Time for a group HUG.:)

    Retirement?

No one in their right mind would allow me to moderate anything. But if I was warped to a world where I was a forum moderator I would put a huge wooden sign up on my wall over my computer inscribed with: WWRD I would let the sign be my guide to being a succesful moderator.

    Farewell

Gina, I am sorry to see you are leaving. This site and its members were a godsend to me when I found I would need surgery. It was members like you that gave me hope showing me that others had braved the same surgery and gone through worse trials while eventually getting back to a normal life...
