What is a good watch/ wearable to measure heart rate and heart rate variability?

I have a samsong watch and phone. It does it all sleep, steps, heart rate but what has been a hit with my cardiologist was the EKG function. I've had a few Afibs since my surgery in 2020. During the last 6 months I've had a handful of epsiodes and a couple where my pulse dropped into the high...

    New here, getting Ross procedure

I was in my late 20's when I found out that I had a bicuspid aorta valve. At 65 I was told it was time for a new valve. Deciding between a TAVR and mechanical was tough and mind draining. I decided on the mechanical On-X. That was in Dec. 2020 and the Warfarin hasn't been a problem at all...

Pleural effusion & recurring lung complications

After my surgery, I had the liquid around my lungs in the hospital, they also left the tubes in a few days extra (if I remember correctly). Once home, I had x-ray's a couple times during the next 6 weeks, the liquid was increasing. They finally had me have the procedure, Thoracentesis...

What was your best Birthday Celebration

My 2020 birthday fell on my 7th day in the hospital for my BAVS. I was brought a sponge cake with strawberries, from the hospital food service department, at lunch. It was one of the only things I was able to enjoy during the 7 days! Come to find out, my surgeon wanted me out because the first...

    Tachycardia

After my surgery (Dec. 2020, first peak of COVID) I also had fluid around my lungs after my surgery. It was monitored while I was in the hospital. I also spent a week in the hospital. I had to stay in my hospital room, no roaming (walking) the hall, which I think didn’t help. Plus, no visitors...
