Looks like I'm taking the 4th quarter off of work

You just can't beat that feeling of peace that we get knowing we get another chance for life :) The waiting room can be tough at times but you have the right idea. Get those lists written and checked off, keep reading the forums here, and treat yourself to some new shirts or lounging items...

A week after surgery, my story

Heather such good news on your recovery! INR takes a bit of time to get it where you want to be I think. I had AVR,my INR numbers jumping all over the place, Lovenox injection series (2 times), and finally things just straightened out. I will also add that I had a pericardial effusion shortly...

    Today's INR

Homeskillet, I believe your numbers will come where you want them. Mine took over 2 months. I had a run in with Pericardial effusion(fluid around heart) that took two extra surgeries, two rounds of bridging with Lovenox by injection to belly, and several trips to coumadin clinic (60 miles...

Continuing to follow Anne, and looks like you are taking all the right steps. My valve area was an 83 with mean gradient of 42 right before second surgery. Oh and btw.....my second surgeon recommended a change of soft cotton t-shirt each day post surgery(usually just wore pj's) but I found I...

What treatment/ lifestyle to be followed?

Welcome to our group! Like Paleowoman said, most all of us can understand your pain as we have had them. I slept in a recliner for many weeks after my first OHS. Give yourself plenty of time and be good to yourself. This is your time to heal.
