Today I got a copy of my test results and it says the following:
Holter monitor showed sinus arrythmia with a heart rate ranging from 52-92, with an average of 66 beats per minute. She (being me) had 4 premature ventricular contractions and 521 premature atrial beats with 1 episode of nonsustained atrial tachycardia lasting 4 beats. HU?
Well the doctor didn't say any of this to me just that I had high blood pressure and to take verapamil. This report I got from my psyciatrist today as we go over all my medical stuff too. So.....he is a doctor but not a heart doctor. Is this just a simple thing I have here or what? 521 premature atrial beats...is that good? Can someone shed some light on this subject a bit more for me? Any info is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
