I just received a detailled message from Chris's wife.

- Chris is in the NICU at Stanford Hospital in rough but stable condition after AVR reop to replace a failed CE tissue valve with mechanical and to perform an ascending aorta graft
- Surgery exceeded 11 hours.
- Initially very slow going with scar tissue
- EF now only 20-30% but with 3L/min/m2 flow as opposed to 1.3L before surgery
- Will not be able to close chest for 2-3 days
- On ballon assist
- Will spend 7 days in NICU before going to stepdown.
- The Drs have given favorable odds for recovery, but it is real touch and go at this point.

Call on all of your most powerful resources to help Chris to finish getting over the mountain.

Sorry to hear of Chris' situation. Bill if you can pass on to his wife that he is in our prayers.

He is in my prayers. I know how scarey it can be to have the chest left open, they had to do that to my Mom. I'll have Chris and his wife in my thoughts

One good thing is he is in a good hospital that has alot of experience with almost everything and know the best way to help.

He has my prayers as do all of you that go through this. This just bothers me a lot because this is the same scenario that played out before losing Tbone.
