Yipppeeee....my new grandson is here!!!

Christian Jacob has finally arrived. He was born today, 10/18 at 11:07 MT time...and this lucky grandma got to be present for the blessed event!!
He weighed in at 8lbs. 9oz. and was 19.5 inches long.

It's now almost 4 pm here in Rapid City...and I've been up pretty much since 12 AM...so I'm getting pretty tired. I suppose I should go take a nap, but after the thrill of watching my grandson come into the world...I guess I'm kind of on a "high"...can't seem to go to sleep.

I can't seem to find a photo card slot on this computer in the hotel...so I guess I'll have to wait 'til I get home to post pix of him. But, just so y'all know...he's absolutely beautiful!!! (But then I may be a little biased) .

Guess I'll need to change my avatar now...to Alex and Christian's Grandma .

It's almost 9am Tuesday, and we're about to go visit Jessica and Christian one last time...and then head to MN. We just may grab the kids and turn around and come back here for a couple of days... they have Thurs and Fri off from school.

Anyway, like I said, I'll be sure and get some pictures posted ASAP...but we won't be home 'til late tonight...it's about a 10 hour drive. They should be up tomorrow somtime.
