Yet Again.........

Story so far........by Nicola Karen's sister....John was admitted this morning for surgery first thing tomorrow (Friday). After all bloods were done, ecg's x-rays, scans (pre-op stuff), John's op was then cancelled AGAIN. Although this was really hard to hear, they accepted there was a very poorly baby on the ward who needed to take priority. So they are home now, and are awaiting a call at 7am in the morning as there is a slim chance that he still may be called in. I will keep you all posted. As we stand at the moment, surgery booked for Monday morning.

What a roller coaster this has been. My prayer is that the lead up to John's surgery will be viewed as the worst part of the whole process.

I cannot imagine how difficult it would be to keep having the date changed. I think it's hard enough to get yourself mentally prepared once.

These delays and bumps do happen. For me the road to the OR's door was more stressful than the life-saving surgery itself. Monday a.m. is a great day for surgery. She's in the final stretch now.
