Has anyone else noticed the message appearing on the outside of boxes of XS strips refering to changes mentioned on the package insert?

The insert also mentions "XS/XS Plus.

So I wonder if there is an updated version of "XS".

What does message on the outside of boxes of XS strips say?
We are still using the strips bought last year with the expiration date of 08/2008 and did not notice any message about changes.

I recently got my new xs monitor and 4 boxes of strips. All the boxes state for use with XS system only. I looked at the insert, there was no reference to XS plus. All the boxes have an expiration of Sept. 2008.

"See changes in interference claims in the new package insert" appears on a label attached to the outside of the box. The original print on the outside of the box remains unchanged. (XS PT Test)

The package insert refers to XS/XS Plus in bold print stating "Test strips for the ......................fingertip or venous blood using Coaguchek XS/XS Plus monitors," leading me to believe there is a new version of the XS.

This message came with a new batch of strips coded 119 expiring in 2008 11.

I think I'll contact Roche for clarification. Two new models in two years--things are progressing.

I think XS Plus came out at the same time when XS came out.
It looks like it is baiscally the same as XS except it has some extra features to enable multiple patient testing.

Lance, I just checked the last insert that I got and it also says that it applies to the XS/XS Plus.
The Plus is the model for clinics/doctors with multiple users, just as Doyo already pointed out.

Thanks for the link to the XS Plus. That solves the mystery.

Did you notice on the reference to the "S" not being approved for patient use? Very interesting considering that's the model that introduced me to homr monitoring.
