as i was sitting reading all the updates from everyone who has had surgery lately and how long they are out, it made me think about how long i have been out of surgery. and i can't believe that it has already been almost 3 months out of surgery. almost all of my aches and pains are gone except some mild chest discomfort in my muscles upon exertion. I have been back to work for 3 weeks now and although i am tired when i get home i would say that is no worse than i was before surgery. all of aches and pains now are pretty much related to work and there isn't too much i can do about that except to live with it. Even though i am 3 months out it feels like it happened a month ago as these past 3 months have flown by. Everything has returned to normal and although i have a hard time dealing with heat and high humidity i just somehow find a way to get through whether it means taking a few extra breaks in the air conditioning or going outside for some air. i am just amazed how quickly these 3 months have passed. i remember when i first got home from the hospital i was feeling as though the recovery would never end and things would never get back to normal and now here i am completely back to a normal busy pattern that i was in before i had to stop working. it just amazes me how our bodies bounce back from these kind of things.

HI Jackie, sounds like your having a great recovery. Hope it continues to go well for you. Good luck!

thanks danny. i know that you are still awaiting your surgery and i hope that it helps to read all the positive feedback from all of us that have already been through that hurdle. this forum really helped me get through before surgery and although when things do get back to normal after surgery you aren't able to come in here as often you do remember all the caring people that have helped you through the rough times and i always try to make it in every once in a while to see what is going on. who has upcoming surgeries and the updates from people that are on the other side of the mountain. the anticoagulation forum has been super helpful. i found that they have helped me understand the inr battle and have helped me trust my gut instinct when something the doctor has told me just doesn't seem right.

Yes, Jackie, it was the same experience with me. Even now, next month will be a year for me and I cannot believe it!!

It is so true that "time heals" and forgetting those achese and pains is a blessing. Also, in my opinion, it is another blessing that time flew very quickly in our case.

Enjoy your new you and you are wise by taking the breaks as needed.:)
