One of the signs that the world is about to end just occured. I had the exact same INR for 2 consecutive tests. 3.3 In over 13 years, I've never had this happen. Maybe I'll go buy a lottery ticket. :)

That's great Karlynn! Since your odds are up, the lottery may be a good bet ;) I belive the next drawing is tonight :D

PS. Thank you for the BCBS info.

Well my Black Cloud of Bad luck is still ever present with me. Took the wifey to the Doctors office and my Rack and Pinion Steering Gear Blew! I just want to run away from it all. This is beyond nuts now.

Ross - no way!

How's Lynn? Does she start back this Monday?
No she is off for another month yet. She is supposed to start back 7/25, but we'll see. Meanwhile, we are sinking at a rate of $1200 a month each month she is out. Now my *%#* car is trying to take another $400 from me. I just wanna know if it ever freakin ends.

Ross:
Sorry to hear the bad news.
Do NOT take your car to a Goodyear for repair.
I used to have a 1994 Dodge Grand Caravan. I distrusted dealerships and it was inconvenient to go to one for repairs since I work in downtown Fort Worth, so I used a Goodyear store in downtown Fort Worth for everything. They replaced the rack & pinion steering -- twice at least and had to foot a rental car for me. They did NOT use Chrysler parts, so the aftermarket generic parts had the wrong tolerances. Took almost 2 months to get it squared away. I'll bet they lost $$$ on the whole deal.
My Honda CRV has been babied at the dealership where I bought it. :) :)

Get this folks, it just got even worse!!!! Took Lyn down in her truck to pick up the form at the Doctors office and her brake line blew! Now don't tell me we are not doomed to destruction. Now we have no vehicles to drive and both in the shop. Sorry to hijack this thread, but I'm so damn upset about all of this, I'm really ready for a nervous breakdown.

Ross, I don't know the population factor where you live, but some churches have Car Ministries. They help people who are having financial difficulties get their cars serviced (or replaced) for reasonable fees, or no fee at all. You may want to give it a search and see if there's anything like that in your area. You and Lyn are certainly in a position that anyone could see the need for this type of assistance. You need a car that works to get Lyn to the doctor (as well as yourself).

You have certainly helped more people than we can count, time to have the favor returned.

Feel great that it is stable for now. I have had good reading since I started till last year. I get 2 to 3 good readings then a nose dive. I have had good readings lately, of which I hope it stays that way. It is hard to do, I know from working hard to get stable for almost a year. Good luck that you get more level readings.

Karlynn, I'm glad the Karma Fairy seems to be smiling your way.... but I don't know what Ross has done to p*ss him off!!! Seems that little fairy is intent on causing misery for a few people here. Surely he could be off bothering some axe murderers or someone more deserving!!

Ross - I'll send some postive thoughts to you and Lyn. Wish it could be a big fat cheque, but Mr Fairy hasn't exactly been helping me in the financial stakes lately either.

....Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to beat up on that little punk fairy!!

A ; )

Within my short three month history of being on coumadin, I've gotten the exact same INR results (to the hundredth) for two consecutive weekly tests, no less than three times. This makes me suspicious that the lab has mistakenly copied the same number from my last test. So I look at this as bad luck.

How often are they testing you? This seems excessive. I'd bring this up to my doctor. I think that you mauy be right about fake results.

Once a week testing.
