Mary

I have to share this news with those who might appreciate it (my family really doesn't!)
I managed to jog 3.25 miles last night, and I'm still alive to write about it!
I never, ever, thought I would be able to jog a mile, much less 3+.
I'm giving my new valve all the credit!
Thanks to everyone who has posted in the Active Lifestyle forum since I joined back in 2004. Your experiences served to keep me positive both before, and after, valve replacement.:)

Mary, that is truly wonderful. GOOD FOR YOU! Keep up the good work.

Wondering if Danny's being after you all the time has helped!! :p

In a few months I'll know where to look for inspiration! You GO, woman!!

:D Marguerite

Congratulations Mary. I did some walking two days ago which involved a lot of stairs. Big mistake. I couldn't hardly walk yesterday...still really sore today. I sure wish I wasn't so hit and miss with exercise. Here's wishing you many more miles of happiness.

Are you going to run all the way to Florida?;) :D ;)

Seriously, congratulations.

BTW - have a great time this weekend.

Congratulations, Mary. Wish my arthritic knees would let me walk 3.25 miles. That's why I swim for exercise, but will have to wait until it warms up again to do that- miss my daily laps in the pool in FL!

So now you know how people get hooked on this stuff ;)

Congrats, Mary! Keep it up, just be careful about ramping up too quickly.

You DA MAN!

You DA MAN!

(or, as my 13-year-old daughter reminded me when I said the same thing about her): "Dad, you mean WO-man!"

Really great news!!

Mitral and Tommy,
Thanks guys!
Whatever you choose to say is fine with me!
When I run my first race, and finish :p :p :p , I'll temporarily forget being humble, and go with this one!:D :D :D
