Woo Hoo Cast off

Good morning all - got my cast off my foot and leg but am now in a big black boot. I still cannot put weight on it until next week but at least the cast is off! The ortho doc wants me to stay off work for 5 weeks minimum so that it can heal properly. I can start what he called "light weight bearing" in the boot on Monday which is VERY good because we are heading to Phx and Vegas on Tuesday for a week. My hubby drag races and we are racing in the Mopars at the Strip next weekend. Since my DH's family is in Phx we are stopping there to see them before we head to Vegas. Can't wait to get out of this cold except that this boot is very hot and it is already 70 and 80 there and you know if you are from a cold area, that temp is really hot! LOL Trying to get laundry done today so I can start packing tomorrow.

Have fun in Vegas! Do not use the foot to much you don't want to go backwards. The casino should have wheelchairs, or power scooters if you need, but you will have to ask for it. Always bet on black & I like the number eight (8).

I used to go to the drags often, I especially loved the top fuel dragsters and funny cars. Enjoy.

A friend's dad was a one-time drag racer (I guess that's what you call NASCAR racers). He was inducted into the New Jersey NASCAR Hall of Fame about 2 years ago in his late 80s.

Nascar is what drag racers call "roundey round". They drive around in circles where drag racers go straight down the quarter mile to the finish line! LOL Think John Force, Kenny Bernstein when you think of drag racers.

We will not be in the casino much since we are going on a very small budget! Since I have not worked full time since my OHS and then having my foot in a cast, I have not worked at all since Valentines day and our budget does not leave much room for extras but since you asked so nicely Cooker, I will just have to make sure I place a five on number 8 for T-bone and remember the "Chimp" if I hit it big!!!
