My great surgeon from '05 just called after checking all my echos and scans, and what was done in surgery nearly 5 years ago, and that thingie the local cardio folks thought was a 5.1 cm is NOT!!! Repeat NOT! It is actually the replacement thingie (dacron graft) he installed back then and it is working just dandy!!! He thinks they overestimated the size anyway -- it's 4.8 -- but it is part of the game plan, not a ticking bomb. I don't know all the technicalities -- he is going to send me a letter explaining in more detail. But I am thrilled, and my family is happy, and Superdawg is happy.

Thank you, thank you, thank you all for all your prayers, good thoughts, best wishes, advice, etc. I really thought I was headed for repeat surgery. Not for a while, hopefully. He says just to get a repeat echo in a year. Whew! --- well I won't be joking in advance about the next one, hot blonde techs and all that, for sure. :D

Nothing wrong with great news like that! Im happy for you and i hope your mind is at ease now. I love hearing things like this!

That's SUPER, Superbob! Now hopefully you've trained the staff at your cardiologist's office so they won't scare you again!

Bob, that is absolutely fantastic news! I know that you will enjoy the holidays without that hanging over your head.
