i start at the top and go down unless there is something i'm especially waiting for like a post op report ect, not fair you didn't say yours lol Lyn

I don't go to a particular forum first. I just click on New Posts in the blue bar and start reading.

A toss up between Heart Talk and Post Surgery, followed by Pre-surgery and then ...... Small Talk.

Valve Selection is ???? to me. So many choices, all of them pretty good, that I don't get too wrapped up in it.

I am constantly seeking answers ... even after a VERY successful surgery and rehab. But there are still just a bunch of stuff, I guess you could call them loose ends, that I am not sure I am satisfied with what I've been told.

Small talk

Small talk

I'm an early bird..:D Like to wish happy birthday's..good luck with your surgery, ect....all that you can find at bottom of the main forum.......Ross, Mary, Phyliss and myself..are usually on top of these...Hensylee, too....Posted daily.....then I go to the Pre-Op to make sure..someone has posted about a member ready to go to surgery that day......or.the day before..these members need us..right up until the last few days....Just to assure them..they will be fine:) ..Bonnie

New posts first, unless I have been off for a few days and need to catch up with pre-surgery and post surgery. Try to check the calendar on a regular basis so we can remember to cheer our surgery members on.

I go to New Posts and read everything; I usually respond as I go.
Sometimes if I've been gone, it might take a day to get everything read, but there aren't many posts that I don't eventually get to.
Then I check the main forum page to see whose birthday it is, and whose surgery is coming up. I also look to see who's on the Forum.

Heart talk twice a day. Usually with my AM coffee before work, and then I usually start with that before bedtime, and I will usually try and check anticoagulation and sometimes post surgery at that time. I confess that I don't go to pre surgery too often, as it usually brings up many anxious feelings for myself. I don't go to valve selection much at all---I hesitate to say much to people when I myself am not the patient/recipiant. I will occaisonally offer "Nathan does this, this and this on coumadin....and so far so good..." and leave it at that :) Now QUESTIONS on the other hand...well, that is another story, right Ross??!! :D

I usually come in without signing on and use Today's Posts. That is usually a nice long list to catch up on. When I decide to start responding, I must sign in, and the today's post button turns to New Posts and that list isn't as long (I've never understood why). I do this about 3 times a day, on a good day!

I think it is lovely to hear how people use this forum. And most especially to know that there is that constant loving eye which keeps all the newcomers and those headed into surgery with plenty of support. :D :D :)

Glad that I saw this

Glad that I saw this

I bounce around, but generally start with Heart Talk and work my way down. I've never even looked at the New Posts option, but I'm so glad to now know it's there.

Thanks,

Kristine

I replied Heart Talk, and I think that's where I most often start. But I admit I often quickly go to Small Talk looking for something on the light side. A chuckle can be therapeutic. Of course I also visit pre-op and post-op, and other topics.

My "Other" vote was for "New Posts"......read back from there....
