I was originally scheduled for a colonoscopy on Mon. May 2, which would have really messed up my Sunday, doing the whole "prep" thing. Sooo...I called last Mon to see if I could reschedule it. They had an opening today, so I was able to do the prep on Tues and the procedure this morning.

All in all, it wasn't so bad, and I would have to agree with the poster on another thread that said they would rather have that done again than a TEE again! Believe it or not, the TEE was WORSE!

Anyway, they did find and remove a small polyp. The doctor said he wasn't at all concerned about it...but of course it will be sent off to the lab to be biopsied. He said he made sure he got the whole thing, because of the cancer in my family. I have a cousin that had colon cancer at age 20  And then, my sister with her breast cancer, (she passed away exactly 2 years ago today :( ) and my aunt who died of ovarian cancer, and my own cervical cancer.

Sooo...now I can sit around and wait a week or so for the results, but I'm really glad to have it over and done with!

Hey Jean,
I bet you are glad that is over with. I hope everything turns out OK for you.

Jean,

I will pray that everything is negative.

A TEE & a colonoscopy - which is worse? I think it is a toss up. I HATED both. Although I do love the commercials where all the colonoscopy patients are celebrating their tests and thanking the testing staff. :D :D

YEA!!! it is always better to be on the done side of procedures. Hope it all turns out well!!
