Hi,This Chris in san bernardino,my INR level is 3.8 Dr. adjusted dosages after found out it was elevated will check in 1 week,I noticed bruseing on my legs and a few other places when is it time to call a dr about it or should i let it go ill tell you this coumadin is very tricky one has to be on our toes constantly watching our bodies lots of work however im greatful to be alive bye all

Hi Chris,

I don't remember what type of valve you have but for a lot of us our target range is 2.5 to 3.5 and some of us actually prefer being 3.0 to 4.0. Given that, 3.8 seems like a good result to me. I get bruising fairly easy but I did before I ever went on coumadin too.

I wouldn't place a call for a reading of 3.8 unless you had an awful lot of other things going on too. This is my personal opinion.

*sighs*

And sometimes our bodies tell us that we have to slow down...and we don't want to pay attention.

As some of you may recall, I got sick while in Jackson TN in mid-June, complete with a 103 degree fever. And, I haven't felt the same since. Oh, I'm fine...but, the last couple Saturdays I have literally slept the day away, despite sunny weather to clean my "baby girls" :(. A bit frustrating. I wrote it off as being exhausted from work (lots of "issues" there right now...none of them good), but then a friend suggested that maybe I haven't fully recovered from that 103 degree fever several weeks ago....

Aye.

Sorry...didn't mean to hijack the thread...lol.

My doctors have said to call if I have ANY questions or concerns. Don't ever be afraid to ask - it could be important.

That goes for you, too, Little Buddy Cort. Go see about it, hear?

I think I better clarify.... When I got the fever, my first call was to my PCP, who quickly prescribed antibiotics...which dramatically reduced the fever by Wednesday night. And, yes, my cardiologist was kept "in the loop" by my PCP.

That being said...

Yes, hensylee and Ross...I will call my PCP this week.... But, I'm convinced my tiredness is job-related, as it has not been at all good. I've been searching for a new job for quite a while, but thus far, have found nothing...not here in IL, not in TN, not in NC.... :(.

*grumbles*

I was a "good little boy"...and called my PCP like I said I would.

*grumbles*

He thinks I should see an infection specialist....

Arg.

I think I need to stop working.

But, aye. That's the frustration and aggravation talking...probably not that far off, actually..........
