What's the difference between

a thoracic surgeon and a Cardiovascular surgeon. I asked my "health coach" on line, through my insurance carrier, and got a "call us for more information" answer.

A Cardiovascular surgeon specializes in the heart and associated blood vessels.

A Thoracic Surgeon is more of a general surgeon in the chest area with no specialized training.
