If you want to know exactly what all the cardiologists really believe, here's a sample of their unity of thought, from my TCTMD (Interventional Cardiology) newsletter:

International Course on Carotid Angioplasty (ICCA) V :

Closed Cell Stents Should Be Used Whenever Possible, E. Houdart

Open Cell Stents Are Superior, M. Silva

We Always Have to Post-Dilate, M. Bosiers

Post-Dilation Is Not Necessary, M. Maynar

 Guess no one has all the answers yet...

Best wishes,

Bob,
That doesn't surprise me, after all remember they are running a 'practice'.

Now you know- medicine is not "rocket science" with one correct answer to every problem. However when I first heard professors arguing and almost coming to blows in second year med school I learned there are no cut and dried answers to most medical questions. All patients are different-and all doctors are different.
