Went to see the surgeon today!!

Hi everyone,

just got back talking to the surgeon in Philly. He was a really nice guy. Very smart! It lokks as though I will be getting the surgery sometime in January. He said he can do a repair job. Let's hope! Take care.

I had a mitral valve repair in October 2005. Although mine was a complicated repair, and I also had a maze procedure and patching up of a hole in the septum between the two atria, everything went very well. It's now over 11 months later, and so far so good! So, if you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer what I can.

I write especially to people on this forum who are having or have had a mitral valve repair because that is what I am familiar with.
